The first contact with a potential client is based on the belief that they are asking for help and looking for guidance. The clinician is not the expert, merely a guide with considerable education, experience, and knowledge. Dr. Marci Martel, LCMHC has a preferred therapeutic modality of the 8 phase protocol of EMDR Therapy. This therapy can help to integrate real life regulation skills to manage symptoms, provide psychoeducation as to how experiences affect the human condition, and then uses therapeutic models and interventions to bring about change through an attachment based and eclectic approach. Every individual has experienced trauma. we believe that the client defines what is traumatic. The early experiences in life create a framework and perception of how we see the world. Using evidenced based techniques we can work together to change that perspective and help you live life in a more fulfilling manner. There is currently a 3-6 month waiting list for EMDR Therapy with Dr. Marci Martel, LCMHC. We have a pre-licensed clinician willing to work with children, adolescents, couples and adults under supervision agreement. Please inquire as to availability.
